The database used to develop Global Demographics' forecasting models contains up to 35-years worth of information. The source for the database is primarily the demographic and socio-economic data published by the government of each country. This is reinforced with data from other agencies to ensure consistency of data interpretation.
Governments typically engage in a census and by-census at regular intervals and this is supplemented with additional information from inter year samples, annual labor force studies and annual household income expenditure surveys.
By using multiple sources of data from different agencies within the same government, the company is able to determine a more accurate view of the demographic and socio-economic landscape of a particular country and its dynamics.
