    • Top 100 Cities in China US$1,950
China is a large country geographically, and there are differences in income levels by region. As such a brand would want to focus on those cities of China where there is an above average concentration of households that can afford to purchase their product or service, has good market growth prospects as well as geographically close to other such cities or the key business hubs of Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou or Chongqing. Using a complete database of all cities in China, and applying appropriate selection criteria to that database, Global Demographics Ltd is able to identify, prioritize and profile the cities that meet these criteria both now, and through to 2020.

There are three versions of this report – to suit the different target market definitions of companies. These are for each of Urban Households earning over Rmb 60,000, Rmb 90,000 and Rmb 120,000. The report structure is the same for all three versions, but obviously the profile data for each city varies depending on the target market income version.

    • Understanding China’s Demographics US$450
It is important that those doing business in China have an understanding of how the population is organized geographically, as well as having an understanding of the key drivers of population change. This report is written as an 'introduction' to those issues. It details the geo-demographic structure of the country (Municipalities, Provinces, Prefectures and counties / cities). In this description it identifies the Provincial Capitals, the relative size of the provinces and these capitals, and the relative attractiveness of individual provinces taking into account their size and affluence. It also examines the importance of the different city types (Tier I, II etc). It looks at Urban and rural definition, the relative nature of the two ‘populations’ and the likely future trend in urbanization of the population. It examines the trend in births and how the gender balance differs between cities, towns and rural populations. Finally it examines the overall distribution of households by income and how that might change – again by city, town and rural classifications. (click here for detail)
